A gin festival at the beach?? Don’t mind if I do!

So, this coming weekend if of course taken with the Balloon Fiesta but if you’re looking for something fun to do a week Saturday on the 19th August, make sure you’re headed to the Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare for its first ever Gin Festival!

What better way than to spend a summer’s day than sampling a variety of gins from all over the UK?! From local specialities, to flavoured gins and traditional craft batches, there will be plenty to choose from and the festival will have a jam packed schedule of masterclasses going on throughout the day too.

On arrival you’ll be presented with a passport of gin containing information on the 20 different varieties available to try and there will be a range of exhibitors offering a range of products to sample and purchase from their stands.

Talks will include a Tanqueray drop-in session, an interesting presentation on the relationship between alcohol and mental health, “Sacred Microdistillery” and Bar Cameo – a cocktail masterclass.

The festival will run from 12pm – 6pm with advance tickets a bargain price of just £12 (these will be £15 on the day). Entrance will include an exclusive branded gin glass and of course and all important gin and tonic as well as live music going on throughout the day.

Sunshine (hopefully!), a tasty G & T and the beach all in one day – there are much worse ways to spend a weekend and as an added bonus you can pick up some tasty fish and chips before heading home!
