Describe a typical day for you at work…
Every day is completely different. A most typical day is mainly made up of viewings, responding to enquiries and moving people into their new homes (although there is a lot more than this done every day behind the scenes!) and it’s something which is really lovely to be a part of.
What do you like most about doing the job?
We love being out and about every day and meeting new people. We meet some really lovely tenants and being able to interact with and help new people daily is just fantastic – there’s something quite special about being able to hand over keys to people who are excited to be moving into their new homes.
(The girls also said that they love the paperwork side of things in the office as they are both wonderfully organised…!)
How can working in the lettings sector be challenging?
The market is fast and so being able to juggle lots of different things at once is imperative. Everything needs to be balanced and this can be a challenge at times – small things can quickly build up so it is important that we be accurate and efficient with all of the information we have from the very beginning.
We are also constantly working to timeframes to get people moved into their properties – if we have only a week to turn things around then we have to do everything possible to ensure that this happens and that the process moves forward as smoothly as possible for both tenants and landlords each time.
Why do you like working for Sarah Kenny?
We like working for Sarah Kenny because we have a great team. We are one small office but all gel extremely well together and this makes for a force to be reckoned with! We all enjoy our jobs and this makes for a lovely atmosphere each day. The variation is great too as no two days are alike – you never really know what’s going to come up or who you are going to meet which means that things are always really interesting.
