Time for a bank holiday!

So this coming weekend we’ll see the last bank holiday of the summer and we thought we’d take a minute to list some of the fabulous events that our wonderful city of Bristol has lined up for us all…

Friday 24th August
Kick start the weekend with an evening boat trip to Beese’s Tea Rooms for some live music, take part in a Haunted and Hidden Bristol walking tour, “Come Dine” at the Watershed with a one off delicious set four course menu, “Feel Good Friday” 5k at Tyntesfield to blow away any cobwebs and get your body set up nicely for a few relaxing days, Friends Fest at Blaise Castle Estate (this is actually running from 24th August – 2nd September and in the words of Chandler Bing, could we BE any more excited?!), comedy superstar Kevin Bridges at the Hippodrome…and that’s just Friday!

Saturday 25th August
Blackbeard walking tour of Bristol docks, Danbury’s Summer Garden Party (a fantastic celebration of the VW campervan), Family Fun Day at Rope Walk Bar in Bedminster, The Great British Food Festival at Bowood House, outdoor theatre at Claverton Manor in Bath…

Sunday 26th August
Producers market at the Tobacco Factory, Story Slam at the Wardrobe Theatre, Trust 10 run at Tyntesfield (going to miss the 5k on Friday? You can catch up on Sunday instead!)…

Monday 27th August
Book Kilo sale (the very best way to pick up some real literary treasures at bargain prices), Mexican cooking classes with Cooking It!…and these do not include all of the ongoing events running throughout the summer too (not forgetting the brilliant Gromit Unleashed trail) 🙂

No plans for the weekend yet? Well, we are completely spoilt for choice! (For full details of any of the above, head over to the marvellous Visit Bristol here).

For my bank holiday I’ll be getting a visit from my lovely Mum – how about you all? We’d love to hear what you’ll be getting up to…enjoy the long weekend everyone!
