Time for Valley Fest!

It’s that time of year again gang as the brilliant Valley Fest returns to Chew Valley lake this coming weekend… A family-friendly festival, this one is well worth a visit with music, food, a spa area and a celebration of all things local!

Things will be kicking off this Friday 2nd August and the headline acts lined up for this year are pretty incredible with Basement Jaxx opening on the first night, Razorlight on Saturday and Tom Odell on Sunday (and there are support acts galore performing right across the weekend too).

Foodies you’ll not be disappointed either as there will be locally sourced eats available every day including street food, tapas, brunches, an artisan market, full on feasts by Josh Eggleton (Michelin starred Pony & Trap), Rob Howell (Root at Wapping Wharf) and Beth Al Rikabi (The Free Range Chef)…the list is making us hungry already! As well as all of this there will be cooking demos and various talks going on every day so lots and lots to get involved in.

Children coming along? They are going to have the best time! Junior Jungle, Planet Pretend, theatre and activities in The Yard, bird feeder making, group poems and tales, the Yoga Shala tent and films in The Flicks film tent.

After some relaxation time? Valley Fest have it covered too with their very own well-being area hosted by organic skincare experts, Weleda. With facials, hand massages, skin and beauty advice and a workshop on body confidence, the well-being area promises to be a real sanctuary – and in such a beautiful country setting, what better way is there to spend a weekend?!
