With the summer coming to an end, we are pleased to say that here in Bristol we’ll be going out with a bang as the Downs Festival returns this coming weekend.
The Downs Festival is one of our biggest music festivals throughout the year and 2019 will not disappoint with Lauryn Hill, Grace Jones, Neneh Cherry and our very own IDLES lined up amongst many others for Saturday and the legendary Madness headlining on Sunday! In addition to the brilliant main stage, there will also be the Avon Stage heading up dance and hip-hop on both days and the Information Stage with key note speakers leading discussions and debates on various issues affecting society here in the UK too. Coming with the family? No problem. The Children’s area will be back with activities, workshop and dancing galore.
This whole event is fantastic with the organisers channelling all things local too (local food and drink will be available across the whole weekend). Every ticket includes a £1 levy also which goes towards the upkeep of the Downs – what a fab way to finish off the month!
