Meet our lettings manager, Laura…

So, here at Sarah Kenny we speak to lots of people every day – whether it be in person, over the phone or through email, we get to know lots about everybody that we deal with and so we thought it would be nice for all of you to know a little bit about us also…!

Starting today we’d like for you to meet a new member of our team each week and we’ll be kicking things off with me, your blog writer, Laura…

How long you have been at Sarah Kenny and what is your position within team?
I joined Sarah Kenny a little under 3½ years ago and am lettings manager. I had worked in property previously, joined the team as a negotiator and haven’t looked back since!

How long have you lived in Bristol?
I moved to Bristol in November 2013. After living in France for ten years with my now husband in the UK for a big chunk of that, I relocated home and we moved to Bristol together to start a new chapter – we’re now married and have recently bought our first house so it’s safe to say we won’t be going anywhere for a while either! We moved to a village about ten miles or so outside of the city back in the autumn and rented in Clifton for several years before that – we quickly fell under Bristol’s spell and still really love it here.

What do you like about being part of team SK?
We are a small but busy office with a really lovely team – we all gel really well together and it makes the office a lovely place to be. One of my favourite things about the job is still seeing people excited about moving into their new homes and knowing that we have played a part in helping them.

Any hobbies or interests outside of work?
I am completely and utterly addicted to Kettlercise classes at Clifton College! I started them about two months after moving into our flat all those years ago and have missed only a handful of sessions since – classes are tough and never get any easier but they keep me fit and I’d be lost without them…
I take part in annual running events too but am far from being a gifted runner (I run each year in support of Cancer Research so it’s the cause which keeps me motivated) – basically I’m useless and sitting still so most things active or fitness related are of interest to me!

Favourite places to go or things to do in Bristol?
Where do you even start?! Ashton Court for walks on sunny days, the Balloon Fiesta, Primrose Café for brunch, Wapping Wharf for lunch (and a harbourside stroll), Divino Deli for coffee and sfogliatelle, Bosco for pizza, Swoon for gelato, HMSS for cocktails, Wilsons for dinner, Averys to stock up our wine racks…the list so long and one of the reasons we love it here so much!

Next week is our lovely receptionist Bridgette so see you all then folks!
