Horfield has seen a growth in population and popularity over the past few years.

Shopping – Gloucester Road runs through Bishopston, with a huge variety of individual shops and local supermarkets.

Schools – Horfield Church of England Primary School and Orchard School Bristol.

Age of houses – A mix of terraced houses and cottages were mainly developed from the 19th century.

Main roads – Kellaway Avenue, which is surrounded by Horfield Common and Gloucester Road.

Main attractions – The Memorial Stadium built in 1921 for Bristol Rugby Club.

Restaurants – Gloucester Old Spot, Gloucester Road offers many lovely cafes and restaurants including Tinto Lounge, notable for its burgers, and Fungs Noodle Bar which offers Cantonese style food.

Little known fact – Hollywood star Cary Grant (real name Archibald Leach) was born in Horfield and attended Bishop Road School.

Population – Approx. 13,000.

Local transport – Filton Abbey Wood Station is nearby and there are also a number of bus routes through Gloucester Road and the surrounding area, as well as direct access to the M32 and M5.
